Origin Story: From Adversity to Authentic Authority

Jaime’s origin story is central to his voice and impact. Growing up in an underserved Houston community, navigating immigrant life, and facing real challenges — including early encounters with policing and youth violence — he developed an acute understanding of how environment shapes identity.

As an interpreter for Texas Children’s Hospital, he helped families from Latin America navigate the U.S. medical system.
